About me and my practice

Hi I'm Julie, thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

There are many reasons for looking for counselling and whatever yours is, I offer a caring, confidential space where you will be heard without judgement. We will work together at your pace to explore your difficulties and how you would like to move forward.

My role is not to tell you what to do but to work alongside you, helping you to gain insights and understandings of what may be holding you back.

I'm an integrative counsellor, meaning I may combine different therapeutic models suited to your individual needs. Exploring your past may help you to identify recurring patterns which may be affecting parts of your present life, or making you feel stuck.

I offer open ended work which we will regularly review together.

Experience

I have had the privilege of working with many different adult age groups, with a wide range of difficulties in my private practise and at a local agency.

I work with young people (18+) and adults on Zoom.

Qualifications

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. CPCAB
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies. CPCAB
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. CPCAB

Registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Initial Consultation

Effective counselling can help to unscramble your thoughts and feelings.

This requires you to trust and feel comfortable with me. So I offer a 20 minute free introduction on zoom or over the phone.

This gives us an opportunity to meet with no obligation, to discuss what you are looking for from counselling, how I work and answer any questions you may have to help you decide in your own time if I am the right counsellor for you.

Fees

I offer short or long term work depending on your individual needs.

Each session is 50 minutes on zoom costing £50.

Payment is a simple bank transfer prior to your session.
